As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, our mission is to give talented Texas authors a legitimate opportunity to publish and sale their work professionally without the overwhelming financial burden.

We believe great stories deserve to be told — especially stories writen buy people who are Texans or live in Texas or base their book in Texas.

Local Authors Only was founded by writer and literary agent J. E. Warr, who has spent years working with authors and navigating the publishing industry.

Through his experience, he saw firsthand how difficult it can be for talented writers to find legitimate publishing opportunities.

J.E. founded Local Authors Only to give every Texas writer a clear, ethical, and truly supportive path to publication — especially those whose powerful stories don’t fit the traditional publishing mold.

Proceeds generated through our publishing initiatives help support the work of Second Chance Hope Group, a charitable organization focused on creating opportunities for individuals rebuilding their lives.

Funds help support initiatives such as:

• Women’s shelter programs
• Financial education for inmates preparing for reentry into society
• Community programs designed to help individuals build a better future
